Major outage impacting Optus customers across Australia

A major network problem is impacting Optus customers across the country this morning.

Customers trying to make calls to mobiles are being told the number has been disconnected.

Affected customers are also unable to receive calls from outside the network.

Text messaging is unaffected.

On Twitter, the telecommunications company said it’s “aware of an issue impacting making calls for some Optus customers” and is working to restore service.
