Major palliative service urges state government to rethink cut in funding
The state government is cutting funding from a major service in Victoria which oversees 11 different faith communities who provide support to people in their dying days.
Cheryl Holmes, chief executive of the Spiritual Health Association, says if the planned cut in funds goes ahead, they’ll receive nothing.
“At the moment, we have faith communities who providing services into our hospitals and for most of the Sikh (?) community, they’ll be unable to do that anywhere near the capacity they’ve been doing,” she told Neil Mitchell.
