Victoria’s new ankle bracelet trial for bail offenders has failed its first test, according to Jacqui Felgate.

The 3AW Drive host is reporting four children in the state are wearing the tracking devices as part of a new trial.

But after one offender broke curfew, rather than be remanded, he was given bail again.

“He breached his bail conditions with his ankle monitoring bracelet,” Jacqui said on 3AW.

“These are Victoria’s worst recidivists. Please, make it make sense.”
