Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has called for a Royal Commission on juvenile detention.

Shocking footage released of teenagers being stripped naked, assaulted and tear-gassed at the Don Dale centre and the old Berrimah jail which replaced it.

The vision aired on ABC’s Four Corners on Monday night.

Federal MPs are also concerned Australia’s human rights reputation has been ‘trashed’.

Neil Mitchell spoke with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner, Mick Gooda.

?’It’s got to go a whole lot wider than the Northern Territory.’

‘We’ve got to make sure those kids are safe, I look at that and wonder what chance these kids have of being rehabilitated.’ – Mick told 3AW Mornings.
