Man arrested at Melbourne Airport over shooting murder of man at Kingsbury

A man has been arrested at Melbourne Airport over the shooting murder of a man at Kingsbury.

Mahamd Hassan, 23, was found dead in a motel room shortly before 11pm on Saturday night.

He’d suffered a single gunshot wound to his head.

Within 24 hours, police had made an arrest.

A Lalor man, 20, was arrested at Melbourne airport late on Sunday night.

He was remanded in custody at an out-of-sessions court hearing and is due to a reappear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court today.
