Man arrested following serious collision in Fitzroy North

A Queensland man has been charged after a collision in Fitzroy North that seriously injured a cyclist.

At about 4.15pm yesterday afternoon, a Porsche struck a cyclist near the intersection of St Georges Road and Park Street.

The cyclist, a 39-year-old Brunswick woman, was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

The 39-year-old Porsche driver has been charged with dangerous driving causing serious injury, disobeying a red light and unlicensed driving and has been remanded to appear in court today.
