Man assaulted with pair of scissors and brick by thieves in Melbourne’s south-east

A man has been assaulted with a pair of scissors and a brick by three people attempted to steal his truck in Notting Hill on Tuesday morning.

Police were told the 61-year-old man heard people breaking into his truck at about 5.15am on Tuesday 21 November.

The victim attempted to chase down the three people, catching up to one of them, before the other two people returned and assaulted the victim.

The victim was then taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries and approximately $20,000 of tools were stolen from his truck.

The offenders are believed to be male and aged in their late teens to early twenties.
