Man bashed in the face and robbed at Brunswick

A man has had his nose broken and been robbed by two men wielding a sledgehammer at Brunswick.

3AW Drive was alerted to the incident on Monday afternoon.

Ambulance Victoria confirm they were called to the scene at the intersection of Brunswick Road and Albion Street about 4.30pm.

The victim has facial injuries and is in a stable condition.

He was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
