Man burned in cafe gas explosion

A man has been treated for burns after a gas explosion at a cafe in Hawthorn.

3AW Drive was alerted to the incident on Thursday.

The man was working in the kitchen of the Glenferrie Road cafe when he suffered injuries to his upper body, just before 3pm.

He was taken to The Alfred hospital in a stable condition.
