Man charged after allegedly wielding an axe and sledgehammer in Hawthorn

A man has been charged after allegedly wielding an axe and a sledgehammer yesterday afternoon.

A representative from Victoria Police told 3AW Breakfast “it’s alleged he was armed with an axe [and] a sledgehammer, took to a parked car before entering a nearby building”.

“Police were quickly on scene [and] reportedly saw the man taking to a wall with the axe.”
