Man charged after terrifying Melton road rage incident

A man has been charged over an apparent road rage attack in Melton yesterday afternoon.

The man smashed the windscreen of a ute before before throwing a pole through the driver’s side window and assaulting the driver.

The incident happened in front of terrified families during school pick up time on Coburns Road.

The attack caused three other cars to collide nose-to-tail.

The victim has then stepped out of his ute and confronted his attacker.

The pair exchanged dozens of blows before police attended and stepped in.

A 21-year-old Melton man has spent the night in custody and will face court today charged with multiple offences including reckless conduct endangering life.
