Man charged following frightening armed robbery at Reservoir

A man has been charged over Tuesday night’s frightening armed robbery at Reservoir. 

It’s alleged that the BMW involved in the crash was stolen during an armed robbery where a chainsaw and firearm was produced.

A 20-year-old has been charged with a string of offences including extortion, armed robbery, trafficking the drug ice, and conduct endangering life.

He was arrested after he allegedly crashed a car into a Laverton hotel.

Police are still searching for a second man who ran from the scene.
