Man charged following multiple aggravated burglaries in East Melbourne

A man has been charged over a spate of aggravated burglaries in East Melbourne last night.

Investigators say various items including wallets, cash and passports were stolen from four homes on Gipps and Hotham Street.

One of the victims confronted the man in their home and contacted police.

A 31-year-old man is due to face court today on a range of offences including aggravated burglary and drug possession.
