Man charged over cold case murder

Police have arrested and charged a man over the murder of teenager Ricky Balcombe more than 20 years ago.

Balcolmbe, 16, was fatally stabbed at the Geelong Market Square mall in May, 1995.

Police arrested a 44-year-old Bell Post Hill man on Wednesday.

The man has appeared before the Melbourne Supreme Court and been remanded in custody.
