Man charged with threatening witness in case surrounding coward punch death of Patrick Cronin

A man has been charged with threatening a witness in the case surrounding the tragic death of teen Patrick Cronin.

Police revealed on Thursday a Yarrambat man, 37, had been arrested for allegedly threatening and harassing a witness as part of their investigation into the violent pub brawl which left the Eltham teenager with fatal injuries.

Investigators want the man remanded in custody due to the seriousness of the charge and safety of other witnesses.

A 33-year-old Diamond Creek man has been charged with Cronin’s murder.
