Man dies after being thrown from his motorbike on Bolte Bridge off ramp
A man has died after crashing his motorbike and being thrown over an off ramp in Port Melbourne last night.
Police say the bike was travelling city-bound along the Bolte Bridge about 10pm and took the exit ramp towards the Burnley Tunnel, when it lost control around a bend and crashed into a side barrier.
The rider was thrown from his bike and over the ramp.
The 32-year-old Highett man died at the scene.
Detectives are looking for the rider of a second motorbike which was seen riding alongside the first bike immediately before the crash.
“Witnesses have indicated the bikes may have been racing at the time,” Police media officer Natalie Butler told Ross and John.
