Man dies after flipping old-style motorcycle and side cart

A man has died after crashing his old-style motorbike and side cart in Gippsland.

The farmer went to check a pump on his property at Munro, east of Maffra about 8.30 last night.

The man hit a fence post that was lying on the ground, causing his old style motorcycle and sidecart to flip, landing on top of him.

An air ambulance was called however the man, aged in his 50s, died at the scene.

Worksafe is expected to investigate.
