Man exposes himself to girls at Laburnum Primary School in Melbourne’s east

Disturbing reports have emerged about a terrifying incident involving two young schoolgirls and a suspected child predator in Melbourne’s east.

3AW Mornings understands a man entered the grounds of Laburnum Primary School, Blackburn, on Monday and exposed himself to two nine-year-old girls while they were on their way to the toilet during class.

He’s then alleged to have grabbed one of the girls and indecently assaulted her while the pair tried to run away after spotting him.

The incident happened around 11.30am.

Police are investigating, but gave next to nothing away when asked for details about the troubling incident on 3AW Mornings.

The man responsible is believed to be Asian in appearance, aged between 20 and 30, with black hair that was longer on the top with shaved sides.

He was wearing a dark long sleeve top, dark trousers and white Adidas runners.

SCHOOL STATEMENT

‘Dear parents,

‘At approximately 11.30am there was an incident involving students and an unwanted adult on school grounds near the year 4 portables adjacent to Black’s Walk Reserve.

‘Police were notified immediately and attended the scene.

‘The department’s emergency management services were also contacted immediately and interim procedures have been put in place to enhance student safety.

‘Staff will work further with students regarding responses to unwanted/unknown adults on school grounds.

‘Parents are requested to take note of this information whilst this matter is investigated further.’
