Man fighting for life after violent carjacking in Melbourne’s west

A man is in a life-threatening condition in hospital after an aggravated carjacking west of Melbourne overnight.

Police have been told the 24-year-old victim was getting out of his car at Truganina when he was approached by three men of African appearance.

It’s understood the group assaulted him, then ran him over with his own car.

The silver Ford Falcon was found in Southbank several hours later.
