Man, girl injured in Box Hill North gas explosion

A teenage girl and a man in his 50s have suffered burns after an explosion in Box Hill North.
Firefighters were called to Middleborough Road about 11.40am after reports of a gas cylinder explosion.
The girl, believed to be about 13, has been taken to the Royal Children’s Hospital with burns to her legs.
The man, aged in his 50s, has been taken to The Alfred with burns to his arms and face.
Both are in a stable condition.
Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the explosion.
