Man in custody after quadruple stabbing east of Melbourne

A man is in custody after four people suffered stab wounds at a property east of Melbourne.

Police believe the incident may be linked to a car which was damaged at Wesburn earlier in the day.

An altercation broke out at a property in Warburton, east of Melbourne, at about 7pm last night.

Four people  — three men and a woman  — suffered stab wounds.

All four — aged between 29 and 49 — were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 36-year-old man from Warburton has been arrested.

Investigators say all of those involved are known to one another.
