Man left with serious injuries after terrifying stabbing in Melbourne’s east

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a man was left with serious injuries after he was stabbed in Forest Hill last week.

The victim was walking home from work on Mahoneys Road last Thursday just after 10pm, when a car pulled up alongside him.
The offender hurled abuse at him and demanded his phone and wallet, and when the victim refused, he was stabbed.
The 32-year-old Burwood East man, who was able to raise the alarm with a family member, remains in hospital.
