Police say a man was ‘lucky to escape serious injury’ after being pulled from a burning car in Craigieburn on Sunday night.

Victoria Police Sergeant Julie-Anne Newman told 3AW Breakfast, “What we know is, the motorist, who was seen weaving in and out of traffic just prior to the crash, lost control and crashed into a wire rope barrier on Craigieburn Road just after 8:30pm.”

“The vehicle burst into flames, and we had motorists who stopped at the scene, and they were able to help the driver from the vehicle.”
