Man on bail caught speeding in stolen car through Melbourne’s north overnight

A 21-year-old man on bail has been arrested after speeding in a stolen car through Melbourne’s north this morning.

He was clocked at 170km/h on the Western Ring Road at around 12:40am before dumping the vehicle in Meadow Heights.

After running away, the alleged driver was found hiding in the rear of a nearby home.

The Dallas man has been charged with a string of offences and will be interviewed in relation to the theft of numerous vehicles in the area.
