Man on the run following crime spree in regional Victoria

The hunt is on for a man believed to be responsible for a crime spree in regional Victoria this morning.

It’s believed he threatened a woman with a knife and stolen her white Holden Captiva on Buson Lane, Concongella, about 6am.

A short time later, it’s believed the same man went to a rural property on McCardles Lane, Rathscar, and approached another car.

He was challenged by its owner.

The man then produced a sledgehammer and took off in the Holden Captiva.

He’s described as a man in his 30s or 40s and was wearing dark clothing.

The airwing and canine squad are trying to find the man.
