Man’s body found following Ringwood house fire

The homicide squad is investigating after a man’s body was found in a burnt-out home in Ringwood.

Harrison Street resident Anne said she heard her neighbour’s smoke alarm go off about 9pm last night.

Fire crews were confronted with huge flames rising about a metre above the home’s roof. 

The neighbouring properties were spared but the house the man’s body was found in was extensively damaged.

The man is yet to be identified.
