Man seriously injured in aggravated burglary at Thomson

A 31-year-old Geelong man has suffered serious injuries to his arm after being bashed in an aggravated burglary.
Several offenders broke into the home in Thomson around a 12.45am on Wednesday.
The offenders seriously assaulted the man before stealing his 2002 black Holden Stateman, registration V4449 ? as well as a red unregistered road bike.
Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Gary Wilson told 3AW’s Neil Mitchell it’s not yet known if the man confronted the intruders.
‘The injuries are not life-threatening; they are quite significant to one of his arms.
‘As far as fighting back, until we speak to the victim, we would be guessing that,’ he told 3AW Mornings.
