Man seriously injured in violent home invasion in Melbourne’s east

A man has been stabbed in a home invasion at Boronia.

Three offenders forced entry through the front door of the Boronia Road home at about 11.30pm.

They attacked a 24-year-old male occupant with an unknown object, before fleeing on foot.

The man remains in hospital with serious lacerations.

A crime scene has been established.
