Man shot at Lara

There’s been another shooting overnight – this time at Lara.

Police a man, 49, was shot when he approached another man outside his property on Alison Drive at about 9pm on Monday.

The offender fled, with the victim airlifted to The Alfred hospital in a stable condition.

It comes a day after Assistant Commissioner Steve Fontana raised concerns about a significant increase in shootings across Melbourne over the past 8 to 12 months

There were three shootings – one that left a 23-year-old man dead – across Melbourne at the weekend.
