Man shot before fatal Croydon crash
Police say a man found dead after crashing into a concrete truck at Croydon on Tuesday had been shot.
The Homicide Squad has taken over the investigation into the man’s death.
He was the front passenger in a car, that crashed into a concrete truck at the intersection of Mount Dandenong and Dorest Roads, just after 9am.
Police say the man, aged in 20s, suffered a suspected gunshot wound before the crash.
The driver, a 22-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and is now assisting police with their enquiries.
Investigators are urging anyone who saw the beige Nissan sedan, registration ROP-683, before the crash to come forward.
