Man stabbed and chased into a souvlaki shop in Fitzroy

A man has been stabbed and chased into souvlaki shop in Fitzroy.

Police have been told four men and a woman were involved in a verbal altercation outside the Real Greek Souvlaki on Brunswick Street, shortly after 1am.

One of the men, a 27-year-old from Preston, was stabbed then chased by an armed man and the woman into a souvlaki shop.

A staff member then chased the suspects out of the store.

The victim has been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have yet been made.
