Police have released images of a man they wish to speak with after three suspicious fires were lit at Dallas.

Emergency services were called to the fires at Laura Douglas Reserve about 7.15pm on January 14.

It is alleged a man piled timber and branches against a tree, before lighting the stack on fire.

Police said nearby civilians noticed the fire and quickly worked to extinguish the flames.

It is believed the man may have visited a hotel in Coolaroo prior to the fires being set and may have returned afterwards.

The offender is described as being approximately 50 years old and thinly built with a white beard. He was last seen wearing a dark t-shirt, grey pants and smoking.

Anyone who recognises the man or with further information about the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a report at www.crimestoppers.com.au.
