Man waves fake gun at terrified Chapel St shoppers

A man is in custody after allegedly pointing an imitation gun at pedestrians in Prahran this morning.
Several people called Triple Zero about 9am claiming a man was waving an imitation firearm at terrified pedestrians on Malvern Road and Chapel Street.
Police arrived within minutes and took a 27-year-old man into custody for being drunk in a public place.
No one was injured.
