Man wearing animal onesie shot by police after threatening to blow up Baltimore TV station

A man dressed in an animal ‘onesie’ who threatened to blow up an American news station has been shot by police and taken into custody.

In a bizarre incident, the Baltimore-based news station was evacuated when the man broke in ‘with an important message’ before claiming to be wearing a suicide vest.

He reportedly had a USB drive which he said contained information he wanted broadcast on TV.

After a lengthy stand-off with police, the man then walked outside where he was shot.

The Bomb Squad has inspected the scene.

The man’s condition is unclear.
