Man wearing surgical mask robs Collins Street store

An armed man wearing a surgical mask has robbed a gold shop on Collins Street.

Police were called to the business on Monday morning.

They’ve been told a man brandishing a gun entered the store shortly after 9.30am.

He fled on foot with the contents of a safe.

He remains on the run.

Nobody was injured.
