Man, woman and child hurt in backyard explosion at Mildura

A man is fighting for life after a suspected explosion at Mildura overnight.

A woman and child were also hurt in the incident, which happened in the backyard around 9pm on Wednesday.

One man suffered serious burns to his face, hands, chest and neck

He remains in the Alfred Hospital in a critical condition this morning

A woman was also flown to the Alfred in Melbourne – she’s in a serious condition

A primary school aged child suffered minor burns and is in the Mildura Base Hospital

The circumstances around the cause of the suspected explosion is not yet known.
