Mangled mess: Car flips in shocking Burnley Tunnel smash

Police are investigating a rollover in the Burnley tunnel that left a car in a mangled mess.

The car rolled twice before coming to rest on its roof about 11.20pm.

Authorities are amazed the driver emerged without serious injuries.

The driver still in hospital this morning but his injuries not life-threatening.

Burnley tunnel traffic was at a standstill into the morning.
