Maribyrnong mayor issues ‘simple and clear’ message after being threatened with knife

Mayor of the City of Maribyrnong, Mohamed Semra, was threatened with a knife in the Footscray Mall on Wednesday.

And he’s outlined the “simple and clear message” that came out of a meeting with several other mayors in the western suburbs, following the frightening encounter.

“It was a confronting situation,” Mr Semra told Tom Elliott.
