Massive early morning line for baby formula at Box Hill supermarket

An early morning line up for baby formula at a supermarket in Melbourne’s east is a common occurrence, according to a 3AW listener.

Domenic witnessed the above line, about 30 or 40 people deep, at Woolworths in Box Hill at 7am Wednesday.

He told Tom Elliott the supermarket employs a security guard who checks how much baby formula each customer is buying.

“There’s a security guard there who checks off that they’ve got two,” Domenic said.

“Then they’ll run out to the car and come back and do it all again.”
