Massive surf park and wave pool to be built next to Melbourne Airport

The surf will soon be up at Melbourne airport, with a surf park twice the size of the MCG set to be built right next to the Essendon Football Club’s base.

The 320-metre lagoon will generate multiple waves every 90 seconds, and is being developed in partnership with airport and the Wave Park Group.

The construction of URBNSURF is set to create 300 jobs, while 45 people will work in the facility once it’s opened.
