Matildas goalie reflects on incredible ‘whirlwind’ after team sells out 12th straight stadium clash

The Matildas have sold out their 12th straight stadium for their February Olympics qualifier against Uzbekistan in Melbourne.
Matildas goalie Lydia Williams says the months since the FIFA Women’s World Cup is have been “a whirlwind” and the whole team is “still really appreciative of the follow through of everything that’s happened”.
“The fact that the game has sold out and it’s only been less than a week that it’s been on sale for, it’s just incredible to think that we’ve done that,” she told 3AW’s Wide World of Sports.
