Western and northern suburbs are being ‘neglected’ by the Allan government

A secret government report warns passengers will face “crush” conditions at train stations across Melbourne’s fast-growing northern and western suburbs, without an urgent overhaul of the rail system.

Shadow Transport Minister Matthew Guy joined 3AW Drive to have his say on the report, and thinks the western and northern suburbs are being “neglected” by the Allan-Labor government.

“It’s just not right that they are packed into a V-Line train on what is the fastest growth area in Australia ,” Guy told Jacqui Felgate.
