Matthew Guy resigns as leader of Victorian Liberal Party

Matthew Guy has quit as leader of the Victorian Liberal Party.

It follows a massive election defeat.

Mr Guy confirmed the parliamentary party would elect a new leader.

He will not be putting his hand up for the position.

“I think it’ll be a battle between Michael O’Brien and John Pesutto, if he holds on to Hawthorn,” Neil Mitchell said.
