Matthew Lloyd and Tony Shaw discuss Alastair Clarkson’s future
Matthew Lloyd has weighed in on Alastair Clarkson’s future at Hawthorn.
Clarkson is under more pressure than he’s ever been at the Hawks after the club’s 0-3 start.
Lloyd told 3AW Football his message to the players could be ‘wearing thin’.
‘You can be at a football club too long,’ Lloyd said.
‘I had Kevin Sheedy (as a coach) for 12 years.
‘We all got very tired of the same message.’
Having moved on superstars Sam Mitchell and Jordan Lewis, Lloyd said Clarkson knows better than most that no individual is bigger than the club.
Collingwood great Tony Shaw said, if Hawthorn is to rebuild, Clarkson is the man to lead it.
