Matthew Lloyd expects media to ‘go after’ struggling Richmond

Matthew Lloyd has accused Richmond of making excuses.
The Essendon great said he was worried about the noises coming out of Tigerland following their shaky start to the season.
He said he held grave fears for their season already.
The Tigers have lost two of their opening three games and will enter tonight’s clash against West Coast as outsiders.
‘I’m pretty concerned for Richmond,’ Lloyd said on 3AW Mornings.
‘There’s a lot excuses coming out of Tigerland as to why they’re not performing.
‘I don’t like their chances tonight and they’re probably unlikely to play finals, I would have thought.’
The champion goal kicker said he only expected media scrutiny to intensify, should Richmond lose again on tonight.
‘(Coach) Damien Hardwick and the club seem to be trying to lessen the expectations on the group ? I don’t think that’s going to work,’ Lloyd explained.
‘The media will come after them.’
