Matthew Lloyd responds to Ben Dixon’s criticism of Joe Daniher’s goal-kicking

Matthew Lloyd has responded to Ben Dixon’s criticism of his coaching of Joe Daniher.

Dixon highlighted Daniher’s goal-kicking action on Fox Footy on Friday night, questioning why Lloyd hadn’t continued his specialist coaching.

But Lloyd told 3AW Football juggling club commitments with a media role doesn’t work.

‘I’d be asked whether James Hird should be sacked, and the next day I’d be on the training track with him,’ Lloyd said.

Lloyd pointed out that Collingwood, where Dixon is the goal-kicking coach, have kicked 14.27 in the last two weeks.
