Matthew Lloyd responds to rumours linking John Worsfold to Essendon coaching job

Essendon great Matthew Lloyd says he’ll be disappointed if the Bombers offer John Worsfold the coaching job without a process.

Sam ‘Scoop’ McClure said on Sports Today there were rumblings Worsfold ‘had the job if he wanted it’ and could be part of a joint-ticket with former West Coast teammate Guy McKenna.

Lloyd said he’d be concerned if they were trying to lure Worsfold into a position he wasn’t truly interested in taking.

‘I’m just hoping they’re not saying John ? it’s yours ? and they make him go through the process if he is interested,’ Lloyd said.
