Matthew Lloyd is stunned Tom Lynch wasn’t suspended for his weekend punch on Jeremy Laidler.

The Gold Coast forward can accept a $1500 fine for the incident.

The champion forward believes the Match Review Panel’s points system has created an issue.

‘How did he get off that?’ Lloyd said on 3AW.

‘I feel you can punch somebody in the guts now and get away with it.’

Gerard Healy agreed.

‘Guys are getting free shots,’ he said.

‘The rules aren’t changing behaviour.’
