Matthew Richardson questions David Cloke’s public criticism of Nathan Buckley and Collingwood

Matthew Richardson says he’d be ‘furious’ if he was Travis Cloke after his father David took a public swipe at Collingwood and coach Nathan Buckley.

David Cloke told The Herald Sun his son was flourishing at the Western Bulldogs after escaping Buckley’s gameplan.

Speaking on 3AW, Richardson questioned his decision to go public.

‘I never like that,’ Richardson said on Sportsday.

‘You just don’t say anything, I reckon.

‘I would be furious if that was my dad commenting if I’d changed clubs.

‘It was a pretty easy target.

‘I think you just sit back and enjoy watching your son at the new club.

‘I don’t think it was necessary, but each to their own.’
