Two fresh cases of the measles have been detected, with one victim attending a packed MCG on Saturday.

The man and the woman visited a number of places while they were contagious between last Wednesday and Saturday, including the Richmond v GWS preliminary final blockbuster.

Those sitting on Level 4 near Gate 5 should be particularly alert.

Other venues include the Virgin Active Gym in Collins Street, Southern Cross station, North Richmond station and the Posty Bar in Richmond.

The pair are now recovering at home.

The Health Department has identified that the cases are linked to two cases which were detected earlier this month.

Deputy health chief Dr Brett Sutton told 3AW Drive it’s important for Victorians to know the list of locations where the patients attended, and remained alert to possible symptoms.
